Bishop McDevitt High School is a private, coeducational Catholic high school of the Diocese of Harrisburg, located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. The school was founded in 1918 and renamed in 1957 to honor the memory of the Most Reverend Philip R. McDevitt, fourth bishop of Harrisburg and founder of the school.[2] The current school is a Neo-Gothic structure, built in 1930, and was originally known as Harrisburg Catholic High School.[3] Bishop McDevitt has an enrollment of over 850 students in grades 9th through 12th and around 60 full-time faculty.[4]

Bishop McDevitt High School, a Catholic, college-preparatory, coeducational school located within the Diocese of Harrisburg, encompasses students of diverse intellectual, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds. Bishop McDevitt strives to nurture the whole person by promoting a quality education rooted in Gospel values and creating a challenging academic environment. Athletics

Bishop McDevitt is a part of PIAA District III. McDevitt is known for its athletics especially the football team. Other sports at McDevitt include: Boys & Girls Basketball, Boys & Girls Soccer, Coed Cross Country, Coed Track & Field, Coed Golf, Field Hockey, Boys & Girls Tennis, Wrestling, Coed Swimming, Coed Bowling, Cheerleading, Ice Hockey, Baseball, Softball, and Lacrosse.
